Ciro Mel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Hotz having to interfere. Celso Hotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Mel in the 17th minute of play. Flavio Vincent charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavio Vincent the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Los Piojos F.C. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Flavio Vincent hit a great ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Silvestre Izel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caldao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Izel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geronimo Venceslao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Hondo in the 21st minute. Rosendo Lop hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvestre Izel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
