In the 37th minute, Cesar Markel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Justicialista's zone, Hugo Tebaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulrik Enegren came out of the goal and Hugo Tebaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felipe Banegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Mel struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ulrik Enegren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Piojos F.C.. After the first half Deportivo Justicialista were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciro Mel to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Banegas got free with Geronimo Venceslao in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raimundo Osorio kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Teodosio Eguntsenti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Venceslao having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Teodosio Eguntsenti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geronimo Venceslao was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. If Teodosio Eguntsenti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodosio Eguntsenti was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ciro Mel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Banegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Venceslao having to interfere. If Ciro Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Vincent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
