In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaypón's goalkeeper Carolo Gines, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Gaypón getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Erubiel Eskuin hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Manuel Evis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Justino Machado came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the OtheGuys F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justino Machado couldn't finish the play. Gaypón's Carolo Gines proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Gaypón from getting a goal against them. Jorge Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to OtheGuys F.C. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jorge Ramos hit a great ball. Gonzalo Stephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Guzman having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Gonzalo Stephen in the 30th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Gonzalo Stephen struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Nemesio Guzman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaypón. Horacio Kusko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Nemesio Guzman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonzalo Stephen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nemesio Guzman having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Manuel Evis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carolo Gines was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. If Horacio Kusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Gonzalo Stephen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaypón's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Stephen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nemesio Guzman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of OtheGuys F.C. booed when Gaypón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Ibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Severiano Richie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carolo Gines. Gaypón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severiano Richie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Nemesio Guzman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Kusko in the 70th minute of play. Justino Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carolo Gines. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justino Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. Nemesio Guzman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Kusko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, OtheGuys F.C.'s Filomeno Escobar got a free kick in the 76th minute. Nemesio Guzman made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Leopoldo Ibar sent off a good shot on target. Carolo Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Evis in the 83rd minute of play. Manuel Evis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaypón were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing OtheGuys F.C. to leave the ground with a draw.
