Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 125) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Horacio Kusko took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Caldao's Christian Neto got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 7 played minutes Caldao got a freekick which was hit by Christian Neto. Silvestre Izel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Carolo Gines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Matias Hondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caldao's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Hondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Gines breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Gaypón booed when Caldao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Hondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Caldao defense, Gonzalo Stephen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Hotz. The Caldao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Hotz should have stopped the shot. Erubiel Eskuin kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Kusko in the 25th minute of play forced Caldao's goalkeeper Celso Hotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonzalo Stephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Celso Hotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Matias Hondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Orlando Nazario fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaypón's protests and gave Orlando Nazario a yellow card for diving instead. Carolo Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Hondo in the 31st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Silvestre Izel put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carolo Gines. When Gonzalo Stephen came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Gaypón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Stephen couldn't finish the play. Caldao's Celso Hotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Kusko in the 41st minute of play. In the 48th minute, Erubiel Eskuin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvestre Izel made a kick off. The supporters of Gaypón booed when Caldao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Maraman didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Horacio Kusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Gonzalo Stephen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Hotz was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. When Silvestre Izel came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Caldao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Izel couldn't finish the play. Celso Hotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Stephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Gonzalo Stephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gaypón getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Hector Belo hit a great ball. Silvestre Izel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carolo Gines came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Caldao's Silvestre Izel. But to his dismay, Silvestre Izel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Horacio Kusko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaypón's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Kusko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Hotz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Stephen in the 91st minute of play forced Caldao's goalkeeper Celso Hotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carolo Gines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Hondo in the 98th minute. Caldao's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
