Jumeal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Cheche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ernesto Milio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Claraz's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Milio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Clementi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Jumeal's zone, Atilano Mateus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Clementi came out of the goal and Atilano Mateus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Tomas Cheche left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jumeal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tomas Cheche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Gaizkine having to interfere. Tomas Cheche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Abelardo Rudolfo put in a rough tackle. Claraz's Tomás Gaizkine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Franco in the 37th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Siro Bermund to make the kick off. With a little luck, Claraz's Tomás Gaizkine got control of the ball when Victor Franco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Claraz booed when Jumeal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Quirce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Claraz fully deserved thier win.
