The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 10 played minutes Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Geleberto. Rosario P.B.'s Aurelio Seme was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Francisco Ongile in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Celestino Raulo made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Camilo Medina sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Rosario P.B.'s goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Teofilio came free, but Celestino Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosario P.B.'s Celestino Raulo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Rosario P.B. from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the game, Alfredo Avellaneda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avellaneda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosario P.B. the free kick. A collision led to Avellaneda getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Alfredo Avellaneda hit a great ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Hernan Panfilo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosario P.B.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Panfilo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eleuterio Rio during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rosario P.B. booed when Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Rio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Hernan Panfilo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosario P.B.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Panfilo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaudencio Daunte's late challenge caught a Avellaneda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaudencio Daunte helped the player get up and apologised. Gaudencio Daunte kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Francisco Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Panfilo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Teofilio made a kick off. When Gaudencio Daunte was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. In the 57th match minute, Rosario P.B. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Daunte to maneuver through the defense. When Rosario P.B.'s Prudencio Arias in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Celestino Raulo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Francisco Ongile was a little too slow when Prudencio Arias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-2. Prudencio Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Ongile having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Medina in the 95th minute of play forced Rosario P.B.'s goalkeeper Celestino Raulo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
