Aureliano Todor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Roldan having to interfere. Venancio Roldan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Eli, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind C A Independiente's goalkeeper Venancio Roldan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by C A Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Delmiro Urbasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Meridiano FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Meridiano FC's corner Delmiro Urbasa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Venancio Roldan quite easily take care of the ball. If Prospero Eli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Meridiano FC booed when C A Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Abeijon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alonzo Frichoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Venancio Roldan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venancio Roldan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Todor in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, C A Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Estebe to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind C A Independiente's goalkeeper Venancio Roldan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Eli to make the kick off. If Eusebio Playo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Playo couldn't finish the play. If Aureliano Todor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute of the match, Alonzo Frichoso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Venancio Roldan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Meridiano FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
