Cristo Manex made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Iraizoz's Natalio Guillerme got a free kick in the 13th minute. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Niceto Pacifico got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Reynaldo Bazil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Zacarias Vela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Classon's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Vela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Elodio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niceto Pacifico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Elodio having to interfere. Natalio Guillerme charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natalio Guillerme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute Joel Weterio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Manex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
