Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Diaz in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justo Evis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Ordono stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Maximino Estebano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Diaz in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justo Evis saved Panacón FC from getting behind. Severiano Niguel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Elias Geleberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Ordono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Maximino Estebano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Charrúa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panacón FC the free kick. After 83 played minutes Deportivo Charrúa got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Felipo. Eduardo Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. In the 96th minute, Deportivo Charrúa's Eduardo Diaz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The Deportivo Charrúa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Charrúa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
