Spectators: 6659 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After having played for 8 minutes, Jorge Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guatraché's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eustacio Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Fernan Berriotxoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Belarmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Belarmo in the 18th minute of play forced Guatraché's goalkeeper Fernan Berriotxoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Celestino Tadzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justo Fraco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Tadzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Higinio Demario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernan Berriotxoa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ambrosio Belarmo's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Higinio Demario made a precise shot to the right of Fernan Berriotxoa. Guatraché's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ambrosio Belarmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Fernan Berriotxoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Guatraché booed when Ferretero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Cortez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimiro Paez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Celestino Tadzio might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justo Fraco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Tadzio ran back to his position shaking his head. The Ferretero players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
