The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lugones FC's Tomas Romo got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Valentin Peruxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hipolito Lekubegi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Oscar Pietro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hipolito Lekubegi came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Lugones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Lekubegi couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Victorica defense, Tomas Romo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Pietro. The Victorica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Pietro should have stopped the shot. In the 16th match minute, Lugones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Romero to maneuver through the defense. If Hipolito Lekubegi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Hipolito Lekubegi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Peruxu struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Valentin Marin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Victorica. If Tomas Romo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Pietro was a little too slow when Hipolito Lekubegi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 2-1. Valentin Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Peruxu in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Peruxu was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Hipolito Lekubegi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lugones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hipolito Lekubegi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Pietro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victorica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Romo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. 82 minutes into the match, Victorica's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Romo came free, but Oscar Pietro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victorica's Oscar Pietro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Sabino in the 87th minute of play. In the 90thth minute of the game Tomas Romo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Victorica's Oscar Pietro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Victorica's goalkeeper Oscar Pietro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, Victorica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Perico to maneuver through the defense. Lugones FC's Rodolfo Marques was substituted for Saul Olivar. Amado Perico hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lugones FC fully deserved thier win.
