Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Espartanos F.C.'s Severino Conrao started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Ignacio Cordara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Médanos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacio Cordara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Elvio Macias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Conrao blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patricio Nastasio having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Severino Conrao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patricio Nastasio was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Eduardo Quentin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Cordara in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Espartanos F.C. defense, Ignacio Cordara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Quentin. The Espartanos F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Quentin should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Médanos AFC's Patricio Nastasio got control of the ball when Elvio Macias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isaias Rameriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eduardo Quentin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospero Gartzen's late challenge caught a Espartanos F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prospero Gartzen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Espartanos F.C. booed when Médanos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Gartzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Espartanos F.C.'s Elvio Macias got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patricio Nastasio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Conrao in the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Espartanos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Cordara came free, but Eduardo Quentin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Ignacio Cordara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignacio Cordara made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Médanos AFC's zone, Elvio Macias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Nastasio came out of the goal and Elvio Macias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felipe Estebe kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Espartanos F.C.'s goalkeeper Eduardo Quentin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaias Rameriz. After 65 played minutes Espartanos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Estebe. With an all-out effort, Médanos AFC's Eduardo Quentin threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ignacio Cordara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Genaro Txartiko came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Espartanos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genaro Txartiko couldn't finish the play. Gonzalo Nesto kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Eduardo Quentin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Cordara in the 83rd minute of play. Isaias Rameriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Eduardo Quentin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Médanos AFC's Inocencio Emmanuel got a free kick in the 88th minute. Espartanos F.C. were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Médanos AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Genaro Txartiko took the corner. The supporters of Espartanos F.C. booed when Médanos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Sotil didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Médanos AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Médanos AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
