The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesar Carlomagno got free with Marcos Sabin in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Matadores booed when Butacó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Horado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesar Carlomagno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Marcos Sabin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Amaya might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Sabin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alonzo Abeijon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 62 minutes, Romulo Haritz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Butacó FC and the Matadores players grew even worse after the yellow card. Armando Jacob might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alonzo Abeijon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 77th minute Cipriano Amaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Sabin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesar Carlomagno struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Marcos Sabin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Butacó FC. After a rather tough play, Butacó FC's Benigno Eusko got a free kick in the 84th minute. Cesar Carlomagno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Sabin having to interfere.
