Eduardo Quentin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florencio Steven in the 4th minute. Elvio Macias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Sabin having to interfere. If Florencio Steven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moises Aguirre during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Moises Aguirre kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Espartanos F.C.'s Genaro Txartiko couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Matadores. A collision led to Espartanos F.C. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Genaro Txartiko hit a great ball. Armando Jacob hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Severino Conrao struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Marcos Sabin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espartanos F.C.. Elvio Macias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Marcos Sabin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Espartanos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Quinteros came free, but Eduardo Quentin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 played minutes Espartanos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Cresenciano. Espartanos F.C.'s Elvio Macias got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Conrao to make the kick off. In the 60th minute of the match Fabricio Tiadoro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Sabin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute, Florencio Steven left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matadores fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Espartanos F.C.'s Severino Conrao got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Matadores got a freekick which was hit by Armando Jacob. Severino Conrao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute of the match Genaro Txartiko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Sabin skillfully saved the ball. Enzo Quinteros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Estebe kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Severino Conrao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Sabin having to interfere. Eduardo Quentin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Steven, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
