Spectators: 6651 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 0) Platino Futbol Club's Mario Abaurre started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chipaite AFC's Felix Obano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Alonso in the 3rd minute of play. Reynaldo Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romulo Ursino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Aresti having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Platino Futbol Club's Tomas Isadore got a free kick in the 16th minute. Pablo Bladi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacobo Aresti. Platino Futbol Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Felix Obano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arsenio Madaleno got free with Jacobo Aresti in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Platino Futbol Club's Tomas Isadore got a free kick in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Chipaite AFC's Benigno Froylan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 33rd minute, Mario Abaurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Chipaite AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Alonso came free, but Felix Obano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Higinio Umbruso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chipaite AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Platino Futbol Club the free kick. Higinio Umbruso kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Reynaldo Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Alonso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felix Obano. Chipaite AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Alonso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After having played for 69 minutes, Mario Abaurre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Platino Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Abaurre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynaldo Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romulo Ursino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jacobo Aresti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
