Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermengildo Laurgain in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Olentzaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Hermengildo Laurgain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eleuterio Bixintxo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Berriotxoa saved Rancul from getting behind. Jose Olentzaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermengildo Laurgain's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Saverio Miliano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rancul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aurelia the free kick. After the first half Aurelia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Aurelia's Alonzo Nastasio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Aurelia's zone, Hermengildo Laurgain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Olentzaro came out of the goal and Hermengildo Laurgain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jose Olentzaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Laurgain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Aurelia's Andres Tiso got a free kick in the 60th minute. Rancul's Hermengildo Laurgain got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hipolito Alfonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermengildo Laurgain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hipolito Alfonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jose Olentzaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Hermengildo Laurgain made a precise shot to the right of Jose Olentzaro. Aurelia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jose Olentzaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hipolito Alfonso's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Hermengildo Laurgain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
