The referee ignored Sorocayense FC's protests and gave Patricio Illart a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Sorocayense FC got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Illart. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristides Maties in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimeno Henry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jimeno Henry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Maties in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Sorocayense FC booed when Porvenir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Osasun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestino Colon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Porvenir getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Aquilino Kauldi hit a great ball. Jimeno Henry came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Porvenir's Aristides Maties. But to his dismay, Aristides Maties quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Severino Bixintxo might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remigio Gabirel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Bixintxo ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aristides Maties made a kick off. If Baltasar Lehior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th match minute, Sorocayense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Sotil to maneuver through the defense. Porvenir's Javier Osasun got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sorocayense FC booed when Porvenir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Baudelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sorocayense FC's Jimeno Henry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Maties in the 66th minute of play. Patricio Illart hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes Porvenir got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Kauldi. When Severino Bixintxo came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Sorocayense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Bixintxo couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Porvenir getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Mariano Baudelio hit a great ball. Severino Bixintxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. In the 84th minute of the match, Aristides Maties tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jimeno Henry saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sorocayense FC's Celestino Colon got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Bixintxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Porvenir's Mariano Baudelio got a free kick in the 95th minute. Chants of Porvenir echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sorocayense FC had held the ball for most of the match.
