But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Bixintxo couldn't finish the play. Patricio Illart struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Tobias Sugar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorocayense FC. Severino Bixintxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Illart might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Sugar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Illart ran back to his position shaking his head. Severino Bixintxo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Tobias Sugar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorocayense FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Celestino Colon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorocayense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celestino Colon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Sugar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 58 minutes of play Sorocayense FC's Baltasar Lehior was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelino Teofilio in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimeno Henry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelino Teofilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jimeno Henry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Sorocayense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Teofilio came free, but Jimeno Henry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Higinio Abella was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 75 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sorocayense FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Narciso Irrintzi's late challenge caught a Uzcudun FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Irrintzi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, one of Sorocayense FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sorocayense FC. Eduardo Montes shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 92 minutes into the game, Astor Evarado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jimeno Henry was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th match minute, Uzcudun FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Valente to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Uzcudun FC booed when Sorocayense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Playo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimeno Henry stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelino Teofilio's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Marcelino Teofilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Henry having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Uzcudun FC had won after a very even match.
