Porvenir's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Porvenir getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Zacarias Cortez hit a great ball. Remigio Gabirel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Lluis in the 32nd minute of play. If Rolando Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucio Che recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th match minute, Leandro Alem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Lluis to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Pepillo was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Rolando Pepillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigio Gabirel was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 61st minute, Alejo Eduino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 88 minutes, Rolando Pepillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leandro Alem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Pepillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Alem's Rolando Pepillo got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Orkatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Maties, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Javier Osasun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Orkatz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.
