Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Silverio Matteo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gilberto Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Gabirel having to interfere. Gilberto Vincente might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remigio Gabirel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Vincente ran back to his position shaking his head. Independiente's Silverio Matteo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Maties in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Gilberto Vincente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Vincente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Independiente's Prospero Perico nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remigio Gabirel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Javier Osasun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Silverio Matteo made a huge save. Remigio Gabirel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Vincente in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aristides Maties to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Gilberto Vincente took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Remigio Gabirel to make any attempt to save it. If Prospero Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Remigio Gabirel was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Gilberto Vincente capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gilberto Vincente really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Remigio Gabirel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Vincente in the 71st minute of the match. Aquilino Kauldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silverio Matteo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aquilino Kauldi ran back to his position shaking his head. Remigio Gabirel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prospero Perico's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Aquilino Kauldi kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Prospero Perico hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Independiente had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
