Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sorocayense FC's Severino Bixintxo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Sorocayense FC defense, Prospero Perico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimeno Henry. The Sorocayense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimeno Henry should have stopped the shot. In the 9th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Araoz to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Sorocayense FC's Severino Bixintxo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silverio Matteo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jimeno Henry came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Prospero Perico. But to his dismay, Prospero Perico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gerardo Virila kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Severino Bixintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Bixintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Matteo having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Severino Bixintxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Prospero Perico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jimeno Henry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Higinio Abella during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes Sorocayense FC got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Abella. Gilberto Vincente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jimeno Henry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Bixintxo came free, but Silverio Matteo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Perico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jimeno Henry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Independiente's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Severino Bixintxo scored to the left of an out of position Silverio Matteo, making the score, 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Vincente made a kick off. Jimeno Henry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prospero Perico in the 53rd minute. Baltasar Lehior hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Independiente's Prospero Perico ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jimeno Henry. Jimeno Henry yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Prospero Perico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimeno Henry having to make a save. Narciso Irrintzi charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narciso Irrintzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sorocayense FC! In the 69th minute of the game, Independiente got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. Gerardo Virila charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Virila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 75 minutes into the match, Sorocayense FC's Higinio Abella broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Severino Bixintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Matteo having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Sorocayense FC's goalkeeper Jimeno Henry had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prospero Perico. In the 87th minute, Severino Bixintxo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sorocayense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. The Independiente supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Independiente would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
