Rolando Pepillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimeno Henry read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Leandro Alem's Bernardino Cordarryl seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bernardino Cordarryl the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Leandro Alem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bernardino Cordarryl had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leandro Alem fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Sorocayense FC. Higinio Abella stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Santiago Orkatz. 0-1. Sorocayense FC's Severino Bixintxo got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Severino Bixintxo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Orkatz was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Alejo Eduino charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejo Eduino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ubaldo Playo scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Orkatz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Pepillo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimeno Henry saved Sorocayense FC from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Rolando Pepillo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Santiago Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Bixintxo in the 42nd minute of the match. Santiago Orkatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Bixintxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimeno Henry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Pepillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Pepillo to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Baltasar Lehior managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorocayense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltasar Lehior was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Pepillo in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimeno Henry saved Sorocayense FC from getting behind. When Leandro Alem's Rolando Pepillo in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sorocayense FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Rolando Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute of the match Narciso Irrintzi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santiago Orkatz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 67th minute Severino Bixintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Orkatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Bixintxo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Orkatz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Severino Bixintxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Santiago Orkatz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78thth minute of the game Patricio Illart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leandro Alem's Santiago Orkatz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Terciero's late challenge caught a Sorocayense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Terciero helped the player get up and apologised. Santiago Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Bixintxo in the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 played minutes, Leandro Alem's Prudencio Primeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jimeno Henry came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leandro Alem reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Severino Bixintxo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorocayense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Bixintxo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Orkatz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Severino Bixintxo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Santiago Orkatz. That made the score 0-3 in the 89 minute of play. Rolando Pepillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Henry having to interfere. The Sorocayense FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
