In the 8thth minute of the game Silvano Aritza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Banfield's Cipriano Bertin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Aritza in the 9th minute of play forced Club Atlético Banfield's goalkeeper Cipriano Bertin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Guzzi's zone, Adrian Gurutz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Beremundo came out of the goal and Adrian Gurutz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cecilio Kusko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Luciano Beremundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Bertin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Aritza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adrian Gurutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uriel Ixona couldn't finish the play. In the 35th match minute, Guzzi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Mark to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Gurutz couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Silvano Aritza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Gurutz made a kick off. If Uriel Ixona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ciro James managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Banfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro James was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Beremundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Club Atlético Banfield booed when Guzzi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Herauso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Apolo Handi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Beremundo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 61 minutes into the match, Guzzi's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Gurutz came free, but Luciano Beremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Banfield's Uriel Ixona got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Silvestre Beremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luciano Beremundo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Banfield's Uriel Ixona. But to his dismay, Uriel Ixona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 78th match minute, Guzzi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Mark to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Banfield's goalkeeper Cipriano Bertin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardino Dolcet. 84 minutes into the match, Guzzi's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Gurutz came free, but Luciano Beremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Banfield's Cipriano Bertin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Bordat in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Atlético Banfield had played much better football throughout.
