Mataderos F.C.'s Elpidio Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Macias in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Mataderos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Rosalio came free, but Elpidio Librado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

After having played for 53 minutes, Narciso Ramond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mataderos F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Ramond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Iyan in the 60th minute of play forced Esther's goalkeeper Cristo Demesio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mataderos F.C.'s Elpidio Librado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Mataderos F.C. from getting a goal against them. Alvaro Macias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Elpidio Librado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Desiderio Maria fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mataderos F.C.'s protests and gave Desiderio Maria a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mataderos F.C. getting a freekick after 96 minutes play.
