The referee ignored Hortensia's protests and gave Narciso Mosen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hortensia's Narciso Mosen got a free kick in the 7th minute. Daniel Estefan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Estefan, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute Miguel Estefan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Lapurdi took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Estefan. Daniel Estefan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Artemio Pueblo's late challenge caught a Club Footbal Rustico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Pueblo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Club Footbal Rustico booed when Hortensia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Pueblo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicasio Ricart made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Domingo Oriol sent off a good shot on target. Domingo Oriol took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicasio Ricart. Bernabe Henrico struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Nicasio Ricart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hortensia.
