If Federico Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Duden Versan fútbol club's goalkeeper Gavino Elizardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, one of Duden Versan fútbol club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Gavino Elizardo, was totally fooled by Retiro FC's Humberto Salomon, who 25 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Valente in the 28th minute of play forced Retiro FC's goalkeeper Hugo Berbiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Ostadar struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Hugo Berbiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duden Versan fútbol club. In the 32nd minute, Leopoldo Haritzeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Retiro FC's Augusto Florinio managed to work through Duden Versan fútbol club's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Augusto Florinio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Duden Versan fútbol club's Gavino Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Florinio in the 37th minute of play. When Augusto Florinio came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Retiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Florinio couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Florinio to make the kick off. Hugo Berbiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Hugo Berbiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Valente in the 56th minute of play. Jeremias Ostadar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Berbiz having to interfere. Federico Valente might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Berbiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Valente ran back to his position shaking his head. When Isidro Eutropio fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Duden Versan fútbol club's protests and gave Isidro Eutropio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Retiro FC booed when Duden Versan fútbol club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Eutropio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavino Elizardo came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Retiro FC's Augusto Florinio. But to his dismay, Augusto Florinio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Retiro FC's Hugo Berbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Valente in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute Augusto Florinio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rdth minute of the game Federico Valente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Retiro FC's Hugo Berbiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Retiro FC's Hugo Berbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Valente in the 78th minute of play. If Jeremias Ostadar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Elizardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Florinio in the 85th minute of play.
