The referee ignored Mataderos F.C.'s protests and gave Emanuel Checa a yellow card for diving instead. 8 minutes into the match, G.brown's Christian Sanson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elpidio Librado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 10 minutes of play Mataderos F.C.'s Emanuel Checa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 11 played minutes Mataderos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Checa. After having played for 14 minutes, Paolo Honesto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. G.brown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Honesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Paolo Honesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Mataderos F.C.'s Desiderio Maria got a free kick in the 19th minute. Desiderio Maria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Behe having to interfere. The supporters of Mataderos F.C. booed when G.brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Micael didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes G.brown got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Micael. Christian Sanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Elpidio Librado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paolo Honesto in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elpidio Librado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 34 minutes, Gilberto Iyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in G.brown's zone, Aldo Igon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Behe came out of the goal and Aldo Igon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gilberto Iyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Sanson to make the kick off. Elpidio Librado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Sanson in the 53rd minute of play. Christian Sanson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elpidio Librado came out and tried to block the shot, but Christian Sanson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 56th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Christian Sanson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 81st minute, Hernan Micael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Paolo Honesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute.
