Alonzo Calvet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Nicolas Fernendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Natalio Tono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Latorre Fútbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Natalio Tono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teobaldo Ticho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Harriet in the 18th minute of play forced C. Sporting Lara's goalkeeper Teobaldo Ticho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natalio Tono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Teobaldo Ticho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alonzo Calvet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Nicolas Fernendo made a huge save. After having played for 30 minutes, Natalio Tono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Latorre Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natalio Tono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Latorre Fútbol Club's zone, Alonzo Calvet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Fernendo came out of the goal and Alonzo Calvet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 played minutes Latorre Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Quentin. Latorre Fútbol Club's Jesus Olo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Placido Eate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Ticho having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, C. Sporting Lara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Tabor to maneuver through the defense. C. Sporting Lara's Teobaldo Ticho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Edur in the 45th minute of play. Teobaldo Ticho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Tono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melquiades Harriet was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, C. Sporting Lara's goalkeeper Teobaldo Ticho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natalio Tono. After some careless play in the C. Sporting Lara defense, Natalio Tono kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teobaldo Ticho. The C. Sporting Lara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teobaldo Ticho should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Nemesio Lluterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Saturnino Matthew kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teobaldo Ticho. That made the score 0-3 in the 72 minute of play. In the 78th minute of the match Aquiles Ongile sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicolas Fernendo skillfully saved the ball. Placido Eate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rodrigo Edur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Melquiades Harriet recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teobaldo Ticho. Melquiades Harriet showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Melquiades Harriet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Teobaldo Ticho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, C. Sporting Lara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Patxi to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Latorre Fútbol Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C. Sporting Lara throughout the match.
