Jairo Paul might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Benitez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Paul ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonas Benitez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natalio Tono in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Cannabicos Unidos's Jonas Benitez got control of the ball when Jairo Paul tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Cannabicos Unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Iliana to maneuver through the defense. Jairo Paul who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Jonas Benitez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Domingo Quentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Benitez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Cannabicos Unidos's Jonas Benitez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Harriet in the 36th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Paul got free with Jonas Benitez in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Cannabicos Unidos's zone, Jairo Paul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Benitez came out of the goal and Jairo Paul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jairo Paul struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Jonas Benitez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Latorre Fútbol Club. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Ricardo Egoi made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Paul in the 55th managed to get into a good position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Harriet couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Paul in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Benitez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute, Celso Cordera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Latorre Fútbol Club's Jairo Paul sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Benitez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Latorre Fútbol Club's Jairo Paul got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Paul might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Benitez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Paul ran back to his position shaking his head. Jairo Paul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Placido Eate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Latorre Fútbol Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
