Miguel Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Manni having to interfere. When Florencio Varela's Isidro Beltxe in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Perubians FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 19 played minutes Florencio Varela got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Beltxe. Godofredo Manni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Garcia in the 25th minute of play. After 33 played minutes, Florencio Varela's Eustacio Ralondo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Blas Tristan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Florencio Varela reached it. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Florencio Varela! The goalkeeper, Godofredo Manni, was totally fooled by Perubians FC's Jonatan Gaizkine, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Ricardo Florinio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Miguel Garcia made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Florencio Varela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Oro to maneuver through the defense. Jonatan Gaizkine took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Godofredo Manni. Florencio Varela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Perubians FC booed when Florencio Varela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Matxin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauricio Liberto's late challenge caught a Florencio Varela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauricio Liberto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Florencio Varela booed when Perubians FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Liberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejo Asier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61stth minute of the game Miguel Garcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Florencio Varela's Godofredo Manni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Florencio Varela's Benjamin Ekaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Florinio struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Blas Tristan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florencio Varela. Isidro Beltxe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Blas Tristan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Perubians FC's Blas Tristan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Florinio in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Miguel Garcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Godofredo Manni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blas Tristan made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Isidro Beltxe sent off a good shot on target. After 92 played minutes Perubians FC got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Feliz. For all the effort they put into the match, the Florencio Varela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Perubians FC.
