The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Covunco FC's Faustino Mannuel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Eguzki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Racing's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Vidal came free, but Joaquin Eguzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustino Mannuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Virila acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Blas Bemabe. Fermin Cresencio came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jeremias Virila could save by the left post. Filomeno Ladio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Filomeno Ladio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joaquin Eguzki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the match, Covunco FC's goalkeeper Jeremias Virila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fermin Cresencio. 34 minutes into the match, Covunco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Domingues came free, but Jeremias Virila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fermin Cresencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedicto Ignatius to make the kick off. The supporters of Covunco FC booed when Racing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Pueblo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Covunco FC's zone, Benedicto Ignatius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Virila came out of the goal and Benedicto Ignatius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Ignatius, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Fermin Cresencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Covunco FC's Zeledon Maura got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 69 played minutes Covunco FC got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Ladio. In the 70thth minute of the game Benedicto Ignatius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Covunco FC's Jeremias Virila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th minute Fermin Cresencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Virila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faustino Mannuel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Joaquin Eguzki made a huge save. After some careless play in the Covunco FC defense, Benedicto Ignatius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Virila. The Covunco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Virila should have stopped the shot.
