The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Cipriano Bixintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. In the 6thth minute of the game Leonardo Montes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Covunco FC's Jeremias Virila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leonardo Montes might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremias Virila. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Montes ran back to his position shaking his head. Apolo Gombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Montes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Jeremias Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Montes in the 15th minute of play. Triver FC's Apolo Gombal got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 minutes of play, Triver FC's Leonardo Montes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeremias Virila was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the game, Triver FC's Leonardo Montes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremias Virila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 26th minute, Leonardo Montes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Virila was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Leonardo Montes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremias Virila having to make a save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Covunco FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Jeremias Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Bixintxo in the 38th minute of play. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Leonardo Montes sped through Covunco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jeremias Virila. The supporters of Covunco FC booed when Triver FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Ugutz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Montes made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Montes in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremias Virila saved Covunco FC from getting behind. A collision led to Covunco FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Filomeno Ladio hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the game, Manuel Ugutz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Triver FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Covunco FC the free kick. After 61 played minutes Triver FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Ugutz. In the 66th minute of the match Leonardo Liher shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime George showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leonardo Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Virila having to interfere. Leonardo Montes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Jeremias Virila skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Leonardo Montes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Covunco FC's Jeremias Virila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Leonardo Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Vidal took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime George. Jaime George dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Gombal in the 90th minute of play forced Covunco FC's goalkeeper Jeremias Virila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Montes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Triver FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Covunco FC.
