Diego Vergaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jeremias Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Faustino Mannuel came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Covunco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Mannuel couldn't finish the play. Mateo Edwardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Virila having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mateo Edwardo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremias Virila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Vergaray in the 20th minute of play forced Covunco FC's goalkeeper Jeremias Virila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Gavino Ler managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Covunco FC's Faustino Mannuel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pastas Frescas La Romana's Gavino Ler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Vidal in the 34th minute of play. In the 40th minute Benito Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Ler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Virila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Edwardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Vergaray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Faustino Mannuel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Covunco FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Mateo Edwardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Virila having to interfere. A collision led to Pastas Frescas La Romana getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ulises Matai hit a great ball. Jeremias Virila was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Diego Vergaray capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diego Vergaray really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Jeremias Virila made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Mateo Edwardo sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute Prudencio Navarro suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeledon Maura during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zeledon Maura kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A hard shot by Teofilo Odol from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Jeremias Virila's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Faustino Mannuel might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavino Ler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustino Mannuel ran back to his position shaking his head. If Benito Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
