Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Javier Castulo took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th match minute, CESACO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Havier to maneuver through the defense. Javier Castulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Javier Castulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Cristofol during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivan Cristofol made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Horquilla FC's Rene Leoncio. Rene Leoncio took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arturo Cordarin. Arturo Cordarin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in CESACO FC's zone, Javier Castulo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Cordarin came out of the goal and Javier Castulo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Humberto Heli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horquilla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Heli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arturo Cordarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Castulo in the 27th minute of play. Severo Peio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ernesto Maldonado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Javier Castulo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabricio Calvino succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 35th playminute. In the 40th minute Javier Castulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Cordarin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severo Peio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Maldonado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Peio in the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to Horquilla FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Hector Jenaro hit a great ball. 54 minutes in the game, Severo Peio dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Fabricio Calvino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute Fabricio Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Maldonado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Severo Peio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CESACO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Peio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabricio Calvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Maldonado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Horquilla FC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Jenaro. 84 minutes into the match, Horquilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Peio came free, but Ernesto Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Peio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Fabricio Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Maldonado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Castulo in the 92nd minute of play forced CESACO FC's goalkeeper Arturo Cordarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fabricio Calvino came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the CESACO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Calvino couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
