Spectators: 6472 (Terracing: 5472, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Godofredo Cordarius started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Horquilla FC's Ernesto Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Cordarius in the 18th minute of play. Rene Leoncio's late challenge caught a Bareiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Leoncio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Rene Leoncio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damian Tohias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ernesto Maldonado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Bareiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulgencio Seguinus should have stopped the shot. Ernesto Maldonado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Tohias in the 37th minute of the match. Marco Jordy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Maldonado having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Horquilla FC's zone, Godofredo Cordarius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Maldonado came out of the goal and Godofredo Cordarius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Luisito Fanuco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horquilla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisito Fanuco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Luisito Fanuco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 59 minutes into the game, Anastasio Guter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Horquilla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bareiro FC the free kick. The supporters of Bareiro FC booed when Horquilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Guter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Tohias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Maldonado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Godofredo Cordarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Maldonado having to interfere. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Horquilla FC to win.
