After having played for 25 minutes, Nereo Liher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mascota's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nereo Liher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Casimiro Bieito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Liher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Los Acalambrados FC's zone, Nereo Liher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casimiro Bieito came out of the goal and Nereo Liher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeo Peruanton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Everardo Rayman's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When Damian Pagomari came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Los Acalambrados FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Pagomari couldn't finish the play. Damian Pagomari's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Amadeo Peruanton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Ostots during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Casimiro Bieito came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Mascota's Nereo Liher. But to his dismay, Nereo Liher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 71 minutes into the match, Everardo Rayman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeo Peruanton. Mascota's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Everardo Rayman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to Mascota getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Hugo Tonete hit a great ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mascota's goalie and right to Clodoveo Hernando. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mascota's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The audience was convinced that Damian Pagomari's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Peruanton was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Marco Corderro charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
