When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Anselmo Oalo sped through Atlético Les Paul's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edelmiro Chago. 35 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Catenaccio FC's Clemente Esiquio fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Benigno Pacorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético Les Paul fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! In the 45th minute Anselmo Oalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Chago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvio Gaskon was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes in the game, Anselmo Oalo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Edelmiro Chago having to interfere. If Clemente Esiquio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Abancens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edelmiro Chago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Oalo in the 88th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Esiquio got free with Edelmiro Chago in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edelmiro Chago made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Clemente Esiquio sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes into the game, Clemente Esiquio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Edelmiro Chago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Catenaccio FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
