Callejeros United's Eugenio Toribio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Cresitobalo in the 12th minute of play. Aureliano Cresitobalo scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Toribio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aureliano Cresitobalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Toribio having to interfere. A collision led to Callejeros United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Reynaldo Artaldo hit a great ball. Guano FC's Justino Tonete proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Guano FC from getting a goal against them. Roque Pitin hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Callejeros United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guano FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prudencio Oliverio to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Prudencio Oliverio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justino Tonete. Guano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Oliverio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Gaston Pudes's late challenge caught a Guano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Pudes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Gaston Pudes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado Pueblo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Eugenio Toribio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gaston Pudes came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Callejeros United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Pudes couldn't finish the play. Justino Tonete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Oliverio in the 77th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Prudencio Oliverio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justino Tonete was relentless in the 78th minute of the game.
