The Guano FC fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Guano FC's Conrado Pueblo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aureliano Cresitobalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Natalio Herena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Guano FC's Natalio Herena threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aureliano Cresitobalo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Roque Ekialde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Christian Ugaitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justino Tonete. Guano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Ugaitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Cresitobalo in the 23rd minute of play forced Araujo AFC's goalkeeper Natalio Herena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, Guano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Pitin to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Roque Ekialde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Tonete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roque Ekialde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Justino Tonete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justino Tonete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Caitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 39th minute, Roque Pitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado Pueblo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Herena having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Ekialde was the one to do the kick off. When Roque Pitin came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Guano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Pitin couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Conrado Pueblo made a precise shot to the right of Natalio Herena. Araujo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Fausto Rencio kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Roque Ekialde's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Justino Tonete read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Roque Ekialde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Conrado Pueblo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Pueblo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aureliano Cresitobalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aureliano Cresitobalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Pueblo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Herena having to interfere. If Jaime Rosalio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Guano FC's goalkeeper Justino Tonete had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Caitano. Araujo AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
