The Atletico Atlas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmond Tardif should have stopped the shot. Candido Venerando charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Venerando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Atletico Atlas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Venerando to maneuver through the defense. He was immediately shown a red card. 38 minutes into the match, Barracas al sud's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Beat came free, but Santos Llope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Leopoldo Ihintza sped through Atletico Atlas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edmond Tardif. 60 minutes into the match, Barracas al sud's goalkeeper Santos Llope had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Ostots. The supporters of Barracas al sud booed when Atletico Atlas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Ostots didn't get a good kick on the ball.
