Spectators: 7271 (Terracing: 5455, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) BAD HOMBRES's Jairo Seme started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Benigno Polo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Polo struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Rigoberto Egoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. Rigoberto Egoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquilino Neto's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Rigoberto Egoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Polo in the 10th minute of play. If Jairo Seme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Benigno Polo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Gartzi charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Gartzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benigno Polo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rigoberto Egoi having to make a save. 23 minutes into the match, BAD HOMBRES's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Polo came free, but Rigoberto Egoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Independiente fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Independiente's Benigno Polo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aquilino Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 32 played minutes BAD HOMBRES got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Arlo. When Benigno Polo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Polo couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Polo in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rigoberto Egoi saved BAD HOMBRES from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Independiente's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jairo Seme fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Herminio Admon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Seme went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benigno Polo was the one to do the kick off. Aquilino Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rigoberto Egoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Polo got free with Rigoberto Egoi in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Aquilino Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Herminio Admon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benigno Polo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independiente's Herminio Admon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Seme in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Neto to maneuver through the defense. David Gartzi kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Benigno Polo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Aquilino Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Artemio Arlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Seme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Aquilino Neto got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Fulgencio Benet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BAD HOMBRES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Benet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gregorio Milian charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gregorio Milian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 97 minutes into the game, one of Independiente:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fabio Aureo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The BAD HOMBRES fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Independiente were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
