After 47 minutes Atletico Atlas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Natalio James who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Pituil's Natalio James to fire away a dangerous shot which Edmond Tardif despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 85 minutes, Zacarias Betadur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pituil and the Atletico Atlas players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Francisco Ostots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmond Tardif didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pituil. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atletico Atlas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
