Aquilino Neto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelo Errolan. Faraones FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 19th minute, Benigno Polo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Errolan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nicasio Silban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Herminio Admon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 minutes of play, Independiente's Aquilino Neto made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Errolan was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Benigno Polo sped through Faraones FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Errolan. 31 minutes into the match, Faraones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Polo came free, but Marcelo Errolan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Aquilino Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Faraones FC's Marcelo Errolan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute, Benigno Polo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Silban in the 39th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Herminio Admon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independiente's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nicasio Silban 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. 47 minutes into the match, Benigno Polo notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Faraones FC's Marcelo Errolan. Marcelo Errolan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Faraones FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Independiente were winning 1-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicasio Silban stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Errolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Polo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Gustavo Timo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Timo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Errolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Independiente booed when Faraones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Sotero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benigno Polo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Marcelo Errolan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Aquilino Neto hit a great ball.
