When Tomás Beturian fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca Juniors's protests and gave Tomás Beturian a yellow card for diving instead. Tomás Beturian hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute, Severino Leguizamón sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Boca Juniors's Silvio Mosen didn't even have to move. Silvio Mosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Blasco in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of EL leoncito booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Beturian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Americo Blasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvio Mosen having to make a save. Amado Mano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd match minute, EL leoncito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Fidele to maneuver through the defense. After 23 minutes, Americo Blasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EL leoncito and the Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute of the match Roman Bladi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernan Goyo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amado Mano in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Goyo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Silvio Mosen got control of the ball when Fabricio Vincent tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 28 minutes, Eliseo Cucao mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boca Juniors and the EL leoncito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Severino Leguizamón shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Fabricio Vincent got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 32nd match minute, EL leoncito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Amado Mano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Goyo was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After 34 played minutes EL leoncito got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Vincent. Boca Juniors's Silvio Mosen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. Amado Mano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Hernan Goyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 52nd minute Fabricio Vincent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Mosen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Filomeno Loreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's Roman Bladi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Amado Mano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fabricio Vincent came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the EL leoncito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Vincent couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the game, Amado Mano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hernan Goyo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfredo Nardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alfredo Nardo's late challenge caught a EL leoncito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Nardo helped the player get up and apologised. Silvio Mosen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Vincent, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Amado Mano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Fidele kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Amado Mano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Hernan Goyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in EL leoncito's zone, Eliseo Cucao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Goyo came out of the goal and Eliseo Cucao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amado Mano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Goyo having to interfere. The EL leoncito supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Boca Juniors's performance. The match ended with a win for Boca Juniors.
