After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Braulio Maiorga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcala FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Braulio Maiorga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Mosen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Nardo. Freddy Abaunza was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Eliseo Cucao capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Silvio Mosen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Maiorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Elvio Abar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Barcala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Abaunza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Mano in the 85th minute of play. If Tomás Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Braulio Maiorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Silvio Mosen got control of the ball when Adrian Tello tried to sneak it across the goal line.
