The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. River Black's Ambrosio Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Godoy in the 3rd minute of play. Hernan Dolfos scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ambrosio Frances, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sixto Bemabe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Oskitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Dolfos in the 18th minute of play forced River Black's goalkeeper Ambrosio Frances to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, River Black was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Bladi to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, River Black's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Godoy came free, but Ambrosio Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixto Bemabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Oskitz in the 21st minute of the match. With his leg Sixto Bemabe managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when River Black's Tomás Oskitz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 38 minutes into the game, Tomás Oskitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sixto Bemabe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the game, Tomás Oskitz lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Sixto Bemabe. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Oskitz made a kick off. Eustacio Cordaro got a throw-in 53 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hernan Dolfos. In the 57th minute of the match Humberto Gumaro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sixto Bemabe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Tomás Oskitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixto Bemabe. Cadillal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomás Oskitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. River Black's Ambrosio Frances proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save River Black from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Carolo Godoy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ambrosio Frances. The goal made the score 3-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Dolfos got free with Ambrosio Frances in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celedonio Bladi charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celedonio Bladi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cadillal booed when River Black was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Bladi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cadillal's Sixto Bemabe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Oskitz in the 83rd minute of play. River Black's Humberto Gumaro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eustacio Cordaro, made in the 87th minute of the game. If Tomás Oskitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Cadillal's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Oskitz came free, but Sixto Bemabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ambrosio Frances made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Hernan Dolfos sent off a good shot on target. Ambrosio Frances took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Santikurtz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Oskitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The River Black fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cadillal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
