After having played for 42 minutes, Alejandro Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basilio Romildo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Bartolo Chico made the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Montrelle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Romildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Prospero Suarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. villa pelayo's Felipe Mitxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Chico in the 60th minute of play. If Abelardo Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Salvator's late challenge caught a villa pelayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romulo Salvator helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Romulo Salvator hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basilio Romildo took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prospero Suarez. Prospero Suarez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. If Abelardo Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. villa pelayo fully deserved thier win.
