After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Bartolo Chico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Borrachos del Galpon's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolo Chico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Hegoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Los Borrachos del Galpon's Bartolo Chico in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Resistencia's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Los Borrachos del Galpon's zone, Emilio Pacifico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. If Alejandro Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Isaias Montel fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Resistencia's protests and gave Isaias Montel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Resistencia's Isaias Montel got a free kick in the 37th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaias Montel made a kick off. After 59 minutes, Hipolito Manni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Resistencia and the Los Borrachos del Galpon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Prospero Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Montel, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Isaias Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaias Montel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaias Montel in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Prospero Suarez saved Los Borrachos del Galpon from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Chico came free, but Francisco Hegoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Bartolo Chico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Hegoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Hegoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Chico, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Isaias Montel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prospero Suarez having to make a save. In the 82nd minute, Emilio Pacifico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Isaias Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Resistencia's zone, Alejandro Hug stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Hegoi came out of the goal and Alejandro Hug tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bartolo Chico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Hegoi having to interfere. In the 97th minute Bartolo Chico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Hegoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Resistencia getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Albino Fix hit a great ball. Bartolo Chico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Hegoi having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Borrachos del Galpon fully deserved thier win.
