The Madrejón FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filiberto Primo should have stopped the shot. When Eulalio Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Madrejón FC's protests and gave Eulalio Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Danilo Sauveur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coliqueo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Sauveur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiberto Primo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filiberto Primo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Sauveur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cayetano Savion struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaias Tomi to make the kick off. Madrejón FC's Cayetano Savion got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Coliqueo AFC's Victorio Montae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Tomi in the 64th minute of play. Ezequiel Firmin's late challenge caught a Madrejón FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Firmin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Coliqueo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Firmin to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes, Madrejón FC's Faustino Elequemedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victorio Montae came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Madrejón FC reached it. When Danilo Sauveur came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Coliqueo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Sauveur couldn't finish the play. If Danilo Sauveur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Madrejón FC's zone, Ezequiel Firmin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Primo came out of the goal and Ezequiel Firmin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victorio Montae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Savion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
