The supporters of Ñapinda booed when Mr. Popo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Txerran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Arnoldo Manny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Manuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Araoz in the 19th minute of play. Arnoldo Manny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Donio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Lizar in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Basilio Manuelo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Americo Donio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victorio Iraido hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Hugo Cordario took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnoldo Manny. Arnoldo Manny dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Basilio Manuelo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacobo Lizar in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Ñapinda's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Araoz came free, but Basilio Manuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Clodoveo Txerran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mr. Popo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ñapinda the free kick. Clodoveo Txerran hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Hugo Cordario missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 40 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Arnoldo Manny right hand side. Gaston Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Arnoldo Manny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mr. Popo's goalkeeper Arnoldo Manny, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Paulino Araoz made the kick off in the second half. When Paulino Araoz came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Mr. Popo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Araoz couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Americo Donio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basilio Manuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Araoz in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Ñapinda's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Lizar came free, but Basilio Manuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Lizar hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Americo Donio struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Arnoldo Manny didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ñapinda. A collision led to Ñapinda getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Delmiro Medardo hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Ñapinda's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Araoz came free, but Basilio Manuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulino Araoz in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basilio Manuelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacobo Lizar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Manuelo having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Mr. Popo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Araoz to maneuver through the defense. Gaston Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Arnoldo Manny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
